Does EBestChips have the capability to design and manufacture variations of existing catalog items?
Yes and in many cases EBestChips has the capability to modify existing tooling to produce parts with different lengths, hole sizes and other desired features. Of course, new tooling or tooling modification costs and volume requirements will be critical factors in determining the ultimate piece part costs for those products. Where are EBestChips’s products manufactured?
The majority of the products sold by EBestChips are manufactured here in the Upper Midwest on proprietary tooling owned exclusively by EBestChips.
Our engineering design team continues to design products packed with value added improvement features while at the same time we strive to find ways to significantly improve production efficiencies with our proprietary tooling.

What is a functional equivalent part?
A functional equivalent is a part that might have some design or style differences in appearance when compared to another manufacturer's part, but offers all of the same critical dimensions such as hole diameter, board thickness, spacing height or bundle diameter, allowing the part to perform as required when used in application.

What is the basic difference between 94V-0 and 94V-2 plastic material?
Generally parts produced with 94V-0 material will self extinguish from a combustible flame condition more quickly than the same part that is produced from 94V-2 material.

When would you suggest the use of ultraviolet black (UVB) cable ties?
Ultraviolet Black (UVB) nylon EBestChips cable ties are recommended where ties are to be used in applications where there is any significant or prolonged exposure to sunlight or ultraviolet rays.

What type of wire connector or electrical terminal should I use?
Each wire connector and electrical terminal offered by EBestChips is designed to handle specific ranges of wire combinations and voltage applications. In no circumstance should anyone use a connector or terminal that does not fit these specified application ranges or limits!
Nylon closed end pigtails, insulated terminals, tap splices and push-in connectors often are used for repetitive and permanent connections and if properly applied are typically more vibration resistant than other types of wire connectors.
Our EBestChips line of economy, standard and wing-type screw-on wire connectors are often used for wire termination applications where wires can either be added or removed at a later time. This is usually accomplished without the need to cut the wires already being used for the existing termination and in most cases the existing connector can be reused. EBestChips also offers several sizes of screw-on wire connectors for use in high temperature (to 150 degrees C) environments.
